Summary

A heat pump prototype suitable for cold regions was developed; it was based on a scroll compressor with an economizer. The prototype was comprehensively experimentally tested and the measured results of the prototype demonstrate that the heat pump can realize high-temperature water supply and high capacity even under low ambient temperature conditions of -10/-15°C. The heat-pump system developed can be used for heating in cold regions. The suitable design parameter of the heat pump was optimized by analyzing experimental data.
