Summary

An experimental study was carried out for the characteristics of boiling heat transfer of R-134a on single horizontal double-enhanced tubes in flood evaporation. In addition, the thermal resistances of the tested tubes were diagrammatically obtained with the Wilson plot technique. The result shows that under the same conditions, the fin number of per inch, the type of cavity, the number of cavities, the diameter of orifice, and the symmetrical cavity could all influence the heat transfer on the outside, and the improvement of inside structure could increase the overall heat transfer coefficient and change the inside fluid pressure drop.
