Summary

The study aims at measuring the thermal sensation of the Japanese in order to compare it to the limits indicated in the ASHRAE Standard (55-74). Experiments have been carried out in known conditions with Japanese male and female subjects, wearing the same clothing, answering precise questions on their thermal sensation and comfort. The obtained results are described and discussed.
