Summary
In this paper, the process of frost formation was studied by microscopic observation. Two frost formation processes were observed, which were vapour-liquid-solid and direct vapour-solid phase change, and they had different configurations. The manner in which the temperature of the cool plate and the water vapour pressure affected the process of phase change was investigated.
