WATER COOLING EVAPORATORS OFTEN WORK VERY CLOSE TO FREEZING POINT, AND THE LOSS OF WATER VELOCITY OVER THE HEAT EXCHANGE SURFACE CAN LEAD TO DAMAGE. EXAMINATION OF ONE MAKE OF FAILED EVAPORATOR REVEALED A MANUFACTURING FAULT WHICH LED TO SUCH FREEZE DAMAGE. A.R.T.
