A new standard known as ASHRAE 52.2, Method of testing general ventilation air cleaning devices for removal efficiency by particle size, is offering a significant step forward in filter testing and IAQ control. It provides, for the first time, a repeatable method for testing and measuring air filter performance under controlled laboratory conditions.
