Type of article: Article
Summary
A first octant of the 632 m circumference superconducting proton magnet ring of HERA at DESY in Hamburg, Germany, has been completed in March, 1990. In a first test run this octant has been cooled to the operation temperature of about 4.4 K and maintained at this temperature under normal steady-state operation conditions. Data of mass flow rates, pressures, temperature distributions as function of time are presented.
