Summary
SINCE FLEXIBLE RING VALVE HAS A LARGER FLOW AREA BETWEEN VALVE PLATE AND SEAT, IT IS FREQUENTLY EMPLOYED IN SMALL REFRIGERATION COMPRESSORS AS A SUCTION VALVE, ESPECIALLY IN A HIGH SPEED COMPRESSOR WITH LONG STROKE. IN THE PAPER, THE APPROPRIATE APPLIED AREAS FOR FLEXIBLE RING VALVE AND REED VALVE ARE STUDIED. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS DEVELOPED FOR THE RING VALVE DESIGN. A SEMI-HERMETIC COMPRESSOR IS DEVELOPED WITH THE AID OF THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL AND THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE RESEARCHON THE APPROPRIATE APPLIED AREAS OF VALVES.
