Floor-cooling installations: a progress report.

Les installations de rafraîchissement par le sol : un état de la technique.

Author(s) : MICHEL E., CLEMENT P.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Basic diagrams of installations are generally very simple and include a heat-pump incorporating a two-way valve or a refrigerating-unit incorporating a three-way valve. A thermal store is often used. Control methods are quite varied and include proportional, diverting or on-off regulation of either the flow or the return temperature of the water, as a function of various temperatures or hygrometric parameters. The various cold sources that can be used are then listed: wells, heat pumps, refrigerating units, gas-operated absorption machines. The problem of sizing is discussed, and experimental studies in this area are described. Finally, information is given on the cost of the installations. J.L.
