Summary

The natural refrigerant carbon dioxide is gaining importance as a working fluid in compression cycles. But reliable data on flow boiling heat transfer and pressure drop were still missing. Due to that fact, a research project was carried out at the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, which was funded by the AIF and guided by the Forschungsrat Kältetechnik e.V. Here a short report about this investigation is given. The full report is available from Forschungsrat Kältetechnik e.V.
