Force-cooled niobium-titanium poloidal test coil for large helical device.

Summary

The test coil, known as TOKI-PF, has a poloidal shape with 600 mm inner and 820 mm outer diameters, and operates at nominal current of 25.6 kiloamperes. Excitation tests of TOKI-PF began in July 1991, and achieved the nominal operating condition to obtain enough experimental data for designing the Large Helical Device.
