FROSTING: DECLINE IN THE PERFORMANCES OF PLANT.
GIVRAGE : DEGRADATION DES PERFORMANCES D'UNE INSTALLATION.
Author(s) : HABERSCHILL P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE ARTICLE PRESENTS AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE FROSTING OF EVAPORATORS IN COLD ROOMS. THESE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT AT A TEMPERATURE AND A RELATIVE HUMIDITY WHICH WERE CONTROLLED. THEY REVEAL A DECLINE IN THE PERFORMANCES OF THE REFRIGERATION PLANT, WHICH WORSENS WITH INCREASES OF THE AIR TEMPERATURE AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY. THE TESTS ALSO REVEAL THE IMPORTANCE OF THE AMBIENT CONDITIONS FOR THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE PLANT. THUS, FOR OPTIMAL DEFROSTING, THESE CONDITIONS MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
