Fuel cell power plant: the next generation CHP prime mover?
Author(s) : BAKER J. N.
Summary
Fuel cell power plants are increasingly under development as clean, quiet and efficient next generation prime movers, for both stationary and automotive market applications. Within the stationary applications domain, the cogeneration sector is regarded by many commentators as an attractive market entry point. The paper examines the developmental status and performance characteristics of the four principal fuel cell technologies, with particular reference to a range of CHP selection criteria.
