Summary

THIS PAPER DISCUSSES MOISTURE MIGRATION WITHIN SOLIDS AND PROP OSES A PHYSICAL MODEL TO DESCRIBE THE MOISTURE TRANSFER AND A MATHEMATICAL MODEL TO EVALUATE IT. THE PAPER ALSO INVESTIGATES THE EMPIRICAL FORMULAS AND THE DIMENSIONLESS CORRELATIONS THAT DETERMINE THE CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT DURING FORCED CONVECTION AND FREE CONVECTION. ALSO PRESENTED IS THE PRINCIPLE AND A METHOD OF EVALUATING VARIOUS PARAMETERS IN THE CONVECTIVE MASS TRANSFER. FINALLY, THE PAPER PROPOSES A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF A SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MOISTURE TRANSFER RELATIONSHIP AND SUGGESTS A METHOD TO SOLVE PROBLEMS IN THIS FIELD.
