MEASUREMENT OF LOCAL VAPOUR TRANSMISSION OF VERTICAL WETTED SURFACE.

Author(s) : TSUCHIKAWA T.

Summary

THE STUDY REPORTS A DIRECT MEASUREMENT METHOD OF LOCAL WATER VAPOUR TRANSMISSION FROM THE WETTED SURFACES MODEL TO AMBIENT AIR. IN ORDER TO MEASURE THE LOCAL VAPOUR TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS, THE AUTHORS USED THE ORIGINAL EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF A WETTED SURFACE. THE VERTICAL SURFACE MODEL, APPROXIMATELY 1.8 M HIGH AND 1 M WIDE, CONSISTS OF 16 PIECES OF OBLONG ALUMINIUM PLATE WITH A CONSTANT LEVEL RESERVOIR BELOW, EACH OF WHICH IS COVERED WITH A SHEET OFFILTER PAPER SATURATED WITH WATER. TEMPERATURES OF THE PLATE SURFACES CAN BE CONTROLLED BY HEATERS AND THERMOCOUPLES.
