Future prospects of cryogenics applications in the second decade of the 21st century.

Number: 165

Author(s) : MELHEM Z.

Summary

Cryogenics is a well-established technology used in a variety of applications and industries. It can be used to cool superconductors for diverse physical and life science applications. Enable cryogenic fields for rockets, in MRI machines that use liquid helium and require cryogenic cooling, storing large quantities of food, recycling, cryo-medicine, and cryo-biology applications. There is a great scope for cryogenics in the near future. Fields like science, medicine, space travel, transport, quantum technologies, storage, and clean energy solutions.
This contribution will present an overview of the prospects of cryogenics applications in the coming decade and their impact on discoveries and innovations and in facilitating viable solutions for net zero emission targets by enabling clean energy supply and storage.
