Summary
The article notes that in Japan 50% of all new large commercial buildings use gas for cooling. In the light of this and progress in the USA it presents the Gas Cooling Initiative to promote natural gas as an alternative fuel for air conditioning and refrigeration in the UK and across Europe. The three main gas cooling technologies available are: absorption, double effect absorption and desiccant.
