Summary
THE METHOD OF NUMBER OF TRANSFER UNITS (NTU) APPLIED TO HEAT EXCHANGERS HAS SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES IN THE CASE OF SINGLE HEAT EXCHANGERS, AND MANY MORE IN THECASE OF COMBINATIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGER EQUIPMENT. THE METHOD CAN BE GENERALIZED TO COOLING TOWERS, WHICH PROVIDES A GENERAL APPLICATION TOOL REPRESENTED IN THE FORM OF A GRID. SIMILARLY, AND WITH A COMPUTER PROGRAM, OPTIMIZATION OF MANY COMBINATIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGER EQUIPMENTS CAN BE ACHIEVED.
