Summary
Testing performed in March 1995 demonstrated the compatibility of a space-quality Stirling-cycle mechanical cooler with a high-resolution germanium gamma-ray detector. The focus of the test was to investigate noise pick-up on the detector signal output caused by electromagnetic/electrostatic interference or vibration from the mechanical cooler.
