Summary
The aim of this article is to demonstrate the value of heat pumps used to replace traditional heating systems using fossil fuels. Concrete examples are analyzed and TEWIs are compared for various types of buildings in different Canadian cities. Air or ground heat sources are used. Equipment available in Canada is described.
