Summary
Since air-to-air equipment accounts for a large percentage of all heat pumps installed in the United States, this article concentrates on this equipment type. While performance under standard rating conditions is appropriate for comparing equipment, actual performance could depend upon different operating conditions. This is an analysis of a method used by the Alabama Power Company.
