THREE DIFFERENT HEAT PUMPS WERE COMPARED UNDER THE SAME CLIMATE CONDITIONS ON AN OUTDOOR TEST RIG. THE CHARACTERISATION OF EQUIPMENT RAISES A PROBLEM INSOFAR AS THE THERMAL PARAMETERS OF ATMOSPHERIC COLLECTORS (OVERALL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT, RECOVERY RATE OF SOLAR GAIN) BASICALLY DEPEND ON THE RESPECTIVE DIMENSIONING OF COLLECTORS AND PUMP. NEVERTHELESS, IT IS POSSIBLE TO DEFINE THE DIMENSIONING CRITERIA SPECIFIC TO EACH TYPE OF COLLECTOR (RELATED TO VOLUME OR SURFACE AREA).
