Summary
The authors describe a helium 3-helium 4 dilution refrigerator with a commercial two-stage Gifford-McMahon closed cycle refrigerator cooling the dilution unit instead of a dewar with liquid helium. The vibrations of the cold head of the closed cycle refrigerator are effectively decoupled from the dilution unit by a soft connecting element which is described in the paper. The lowest temperature of the dilution refrigerator was 15 milliK.
