Heterogeneous nucleation of supercooled water on heat-transfer surfaces.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Freezing temperatures are dependent on the material and the surface roughness of the heat-transfer surface, while the dependence of the cooling rate of the surface is very minor. The authors were able to predict the freezing temperature of the supercooled water by measuring the surface parameter of the heat transfer surface experimentally.
