Type of article: Article
Summary
THERE ARE FIVE MAIN INDUSTRIAL AREAS WHERE HIGH-EFFICIENCY FILTRATION OF SPECIAL GASES IS NECESSARY: REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, GAS LIQUEFACTION SYSTEMS, CRYOGENICS, PROCESSES USING CATALYSTS, AND INDUSTRIAL GAS PRODUCTION. IN ALL THESE CASES, CONTAMINATION OF THE GAS CAN PREVENT CORRECT OPERATION, REDUCE PRODUCT QUALITY, CAUSE EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS, AND INCREASE OPERATING COSTS. THESE ARE DISCUSSED WITH THE AID OF DIAGRAMS. E.W.S.
