Summary
In order to improve the efficiency of room air-conditioner, the two-stage compression gas injection cycle were developed. The main conclusions of the present research are stated as follows: 1) as for the room air-conditioner of 2.8 kW cooling capacity with the gas injection cycle using two-stage compressor, the cooling COP and the heating COP were improved 6.7 and 3.4% respectively compared to that without gas injection cycle. And COP of this product achieved 6.50 using the developed cycle; 2) as for the heating operation in the environment of -15°C, the heating capacity were improved 12.5% compared to that without gas injection cycle.
