Summary

The drive system is based on the variable-frequency supply of power to a new high-speed, alternating current motor. Performance tests have yielded information regarding ease of start-up, noise level, precision of steering, output, the power factor and lifespan, as well as reduction of the complexity of mechanical equipment, maintenance, and energy costs.
