Horizontal and vertical temperature distribution in frozen food stores with high ceilings.

Type of article: Article
Summary
As a result of the relatively large temperature differences with their surroundings, cold stores are subject to a high termal strain which may lead, in connection with the intermittent operating method of the refrigerating plant, to a considerable temperature stratification. The knowledge of the store's specific temperature profiles enables the cold store operator to assess the existing operating method according to economic, commodity-specific and logistic aspects, and to organise it more effectively, if necessary.
