Hospital retrofit: dual-duct HVAC systems.
Author(s) : GILL K. E.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Medical care has been based, until recent years, on in-patient treatment, with large wards of up to 48 beds. Existing fan coil or induction units circulate low-level dusts. The current trend is for more out-patient attendance with locally concentrated medical treatment, and this needs better segregation of the zones. This retrofit required custom-built air handling units on the roof, feeding down to constant volume dual duct terminals. A.R.T.
