THE PRESENCE OF OIL IN HEAT EXCHANGERS IS NOXIOUS. THE CONVENTIONAL OIL SEPARATOR DOES NOT RETAIN THE OIL VAPOURISED WITH COMPRESSED HOT AMMONIA. THE INSTALLATION OF AN OIL WASHER WITH BUBBLING IN AMMONIA APPEARED VERY EFFICIENT, BOTH WITH PISTON AND SCREW COMPRESSORS. J.L.
