FOLLOWING DECISIONS FORBIDDING THE RELEASE OF CFCS TO THE ATMOSPHERE, REFRIGERATION SERVICEMEN WILL BE FACED WITH RECOVERING VARIOUS REFRIGERANTS DURING SERVICING OR DISMANTLING OPERATIONS. ONE PORTABLE RECOVERY PLANT WILL HAVE TO HANDLE A NUMBER OF REFRIGERANTS IN EITHER LIQUID OR GASEOUS FORM WITHOUT CONTAMINATING ONE REFRIGERANT BY ANOTHER. THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES DESIGN CHANGES TO EQUIPMENT TO FACILITATE THE PUMP OUT OF EITHER LIQUID OR VAPOUR, AND DESIGNS TO REDUCE CROSS CONTAMINATION. D.W.H.
