How to improve the operating efficiency of air-cooled reciprocating chillers.
Author(s) : CHAN K. T., YU F. W.
Summary
In order to achieve plant energy efficiency, it is necessary to establish an optimal combination of chillers based on the percentage design load, the weather-load profile, the corresponding outdoor temperature and the chiller part load efficiency. Potential improvement in the coefficient of performance by lowering the condensing temperature at falling outdoor air temperature is discussed.
