HSPF determination of air to water heat pumps with field-test results.

Number: pap. ID: 850

Author(s) : BARBOUCHI S., ROLAND D.

Summary

Seven air-to-water heat pumps were followed during the winter 2009/2010 in France. The results of the fieldtests have allowed to express the thermal energy supplied and the electrical energy consumed by each heat pump as a function of the average daily outdoor air temperature, supply and return temperature and the ontime ratio per day. Therefore, thanks to the meteorological data of given climatic areas and by measuring certain parameters, it is possible to calculate the thermal and electrical energies and so to estimate the Heating Seasonal Performance Factor.
