HVAC design for isolation rooms.

Author(s) : GILL K. E.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Recent USA Guidelines permit the recirculation of air within hospital isolation rooms under closely specified conditions. Air must pass through high efficiency filters and in a pre-set direction. Some patients are screened to contain infectious droplets. Air-to-air heat recovery requires additional filters. The higher air flows permitted under these Guidelines simplify air distribution and direction. A.R.T.
