Hydraulic characterization of centrifugal pumps in helium I near saturated conditions.
Author(s) : BAUDOUY B., TAKEDA M., SCIVER S. W. van
Type of article: Article
Summary
Three different housings are tested, a simple impeller housing and two housings with an impeller with an associated screw inducer. The pressure difference across the pumps and the mass flow rates have been recorded for different pump speeds. The authors compare the pump performances with predicted values. For different inlet tube lenght, cavitation effects, that might occur near saturated conditions, were also investigated.
