Summary

A NUMERICAL APPROACH IS USED TO SOLVE HYPERBOLIC HEAT CONDUCTION IN A SEMI-INFINITE MEDIUM WHERE THE BOUNDARY AT X = 0 IS SUBJECTED TO A SURFACE HEAT FLUX AND DISSIPATES HEAT BY RADIATION INTO AN AMBIENT AT CONSTANT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. THE RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THOSE OBTAINED FROM THE STANDARD PARABOLIC HEAT CONDUCTION EQUATION.
