A METHOD OF SOLUTION FOR MULTI-DIMENSIONAL PROBLEMS INVOLVING COMBINED HEAT-TRANSFER MODES AND ABSORBING-EMITTING-SCATTERING MEDIA IS KNOWN AS THE P3 APPROXIMATION. THIS METHOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APPLY TO THERMAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS OF THE GENERAL, CONVECTIVE TYPE.
