Identification and control of viral aerosols in indoor environments.

Summary

The paper reflects the results of a literature search that addressed the problem of airborne spread of viruses in indoor environments and various methods for reducing or eliminating this problem. Four topics were examined: epidemiological evidence of airborne spread of viruses in indoor environments, sampling methods for evaluating viral aerosol concentrations in indoor air, assay and characterization methods for determining the presence of specific viruses in indoor air samples, and control techniques and their efficacy for eliminating or reducing airborne viral particle spread.
