Summary

This IEA 2000 Annual Report presents the Heat Pump Programme, covering heat pumps, air conditioning and refrigeration for buildings, commerce and industry. The aim is to achieve good coordination between the participating countries, in the field of R&D of heat pump and refrigeration technology, in order to increase energy efficiency and to protect the environment. The main addresses and E-mails of the contacts in the various participating countries (Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA) are given, as is an overview of the main topics studied for the time being.
