Implementation and evaluation of air flow and heat transfer routines for building simulation tools.
Author(s) : TUOMAALA P.
Type of monograph: Thesis
Summary
This thesis for the degree of Doctor of Science from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Helsinki University of Technology provides an introduction and background to this study and reviews commonly used simulation tools. It presents common methods of simulating thermal and air flow processes in buildings, and the methods adopted and developed. The developed building simulation routines are validated with analytical, simulated and measured data. The publication also contains 5 original publications referred to in the text.
