Summary
The purpose of this report is to present the initiatives of the Cameroon national ozone bureau, which was set up in 1994. These include the publication of figures on consumption of ozone-depleting substances (ODSs); the organising of seminars and the distribution of publications to inform and increase awareness among manufacturers, users and the media; the funding of two Cameroonian companies within the framework of the Multilateral Fund, one a refrigerator manufacturer (transition from R12 to R134a), the other from the foam sector (transition from R11 to cyclopentane); the monitoring and regulation of imported ODSs.
