IMPROVED HEAT EXCHANGE IN SUPERCRITICAL HELIUM THROUGH ARTIFICIALLY CREATED TURBULENCE.

AMELIORATION DES ECHANGES DANS L'HELIUM SUPERCRITIQUE PAR CREATION ARTIFICIELLE DE TURBULENCES.

Summary

THE INFLUENCE OF THE OSCILLATING MOVEMENTS OF AN INTERWALL GRID ON CONVECTION BETWEEN TWO STATIC WALLS IS INVESTIGATED EXPERIMENTALLY. GUIDANCE FOR PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IS PROVIDED BY PRESENTING EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS IN TERMS OF EMPIRICAL CORRELATIONS. VERY LARGE IMPROVEMENTS IN HEAT TRANSFER CAN BE OBTAINED LOCALLY BETWEEN TWO WALLS.
