IMPROVEMENT OF COOLING LOAD PROGRAMS BY COMBINATION WITH AN AIR FLOW PROGRAM.

Author(s) : KOOI J. van der, CHEN Q.

Summary

COOLING LOAD CALCULATION PROGRAMS WERE VALIDATED BY MEASUREMENTS IN A CLIMATIC ROOM. THE RESULTS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH MEASUREMENTS WHEN THE INTERNAL ROOM TEMPERATURE IS UNIFORM. WITH A VERTICAL TEMPERATURE GRADIENT, THESE PROGRAMS SHOULD CONSIDER THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND THE CEILING. THE LATTER CAN BE MEASURED . IN SITU ) OR IN A CLIMATIC ROOM, OR CALCULATED (AIR DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM). IF THESE TEMPERATURE GRADIENTS ARE DETERMINED FOR EACH AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND SUPPOSED PROPORTIONAL TO THE CAPACITY OF THE LATTER, A GOOD APPROXIMATION CAN BE OBTAINED.
