Summary

The improvement of environmental conditions in poultry houses is considered at length. The importance of choosing the correct ventilation and cooling system is emphasized, in particular the change-over point from ventilation to cooling. The use of wind chill to increase bird comfort is a significant factor in design, and even air distribution through the poultry house improves productivity. G.R.S.
