In-situ method for measurement of the circulating composition of refrigerant blends.

Author(s) : RACHED W., CLODIC D.

Summary

The paper proposes a general resolution and measurement method making it possible to calculate the circulating composition of zeotropic blends with n components using n-1 expansions with measurements of upstream and downstream temperatures and pressures. For some blends as shown in different papers, empirical laws can be established, leading to a more limited number of measurements, but unfortunately this method can generate false values when leaks occur. The general method can be used in any case as a reference method, and is the only one that can be used for some blends when no empirical law can be elaborated.
