Indirect evaporative cooling.
Author(s) : MATHUR G. D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Air-air heat exchange between coils containing a volatile liquid will take place at the same evaporating and condensing temperature. This gives an improved temperature difference on the air sides of the heat exchanger. Different configurations are available, according to the use. Further precooling can be by water spray in the incoming cold air stream. Heat transfer estimates will optimise coil sizes and indicate savings. A.R.T.
