Indoor swimming pools: energy saving measures.
[In Italian. / En italien.]

Type of article: Article
Summary
The heating of swimming pools can be energy-expensive, and energy-saving measures much more effective than simple heat recovery from the exhausted air are recommended. A new open cycle absorption system operating by chemical dehumidification of the exhausted air is presented. It is compared with heat-pump equipped systems. The proposed system can allow important energy savings of the same order as the motor-driven heat pump, though its technology is in principle simpler and cheaper.
