HE FOCUSES ON THEIR PRINCIPLE, GIVES 4 EXAMPLES OF UNITS OPERATING AS A HEAT PUMP (IN THE DYEING AND BREWING SECTORS AND FOR POTATO COOKING), AND OUTLINES THEIR ECONOMICS. HE THEN DEALS WITH ABSORPTION SYSTEMSUSING THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE PAIR, AND GIVES THEIR PRINCIPLE, STRESSING PARTICULARLY THE DOUBLE-EFFECT AND TWO-STAGE SYSTEMS. HE ILLUSTRATES THEM WITH 2 EXAMPLES: ONE FOR IMPROVING THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF A DEVICE FOR SEA-WATER DESALINATION IN ALMERIA, AND THE OTHER WHICH OPERATES AS A HEAT PUMP FOR HEATING THE AIR MUSEUM AT THE DEUTSCHES MUSEUM IN MUNICH (WHICH IS BOTH DOUBLE-EFFECT AND TWO-STAGE).
