INFLUENCE OF AIR INLET CONDITIONS ON AIR SEPARATION PLANT PRODUCTION CAPACITY.

Type of article: Article

Summary

WHAT MUST BE REALISED IS THAT PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF AN AIR SEPARATION PLANT DEPENDS ON THE ACTUAL MASS OF DRY, CARBON DIOXIDE FREE AIR ENTERING THE AIR SEPARATION COLD BOX, AND NOT ON THE GROSS VOLUME OF AIR. VOLUME OF AIR DELIVERED OR SUCKED BY AN AIR COMPRESSOR IS CONSTANT, BUT THE MASS OF AIR ACTUALLY ENTERING THE PLANT'S COLD BOX, VARIES WITH DIFFERENT AMBIENT CONDITIONS WHICH INFLUENCE THE DENSITY OF AIR AND THE QUANTITY OF WATER VAPOUR PRESENT THEREIN. THE EFFECT OF DRY BULB TEMPERATURE, RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND BAROMETRIC PRESSURE ON AIR IS PRESENTED.
