TO OPTIMIZE THE POWER CONSUMPTION OF A LARGE-SIZE AIR SEPARATION PLANT IN THE PARTIAL LOAD RANGE, EXTENSIVE MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN ON THE AIR CONSUMPTION WITH DIFFERENT PRODUCT PARAMETERS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF A PROCESS ANALYSIS. BY REASON OF THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS THE PRINCIPLE OF CONTROLLING THE AIR VOLUME IS DETERMINED. THE SOME 1,000 METER READINGS TAKEN BY THIS PRINCIPLE ARE PLOTTED DIAGRAMMATICALLY.
